The Gen 3 Fantail 270 Max Awning is the ultimate in large-format, free-standing vehicle awnings. Spanning 2.3m in stowed length and delivering a huge 13m² of shelter, it’s the largest and most advanced awning in our range—designed for serious outdoor explorers, tourers, and trades who need maximum coverage with minimum fuss.

Free-standing in winds up to 30kph, the 270 Max features truss-style aluminium arms engineered with custom extrusions for exceptional strength, paired with an upgraded 4mm stainless steel hinge system and a thicker backing plate for critical support. Two arms include fabric support poles to aid water runoff, while five rain valley tie points help create gutters to manage heavy rainfall.

Constructed from 320gsm ripstop polyester canvas, the awning is PU coated, fully seam sealed, UV 50+ rated, and resistant to mould and mildew. A heavy-duty 1000D PVC travel cover protects the awning when closed—ideal for rugged off-road conditions.

Where the Max truly shines is in its lighting: four built-in LED arms feature amber/white dual mode lights with individual touch dimmable switches, giving you complete control over ambience and power draw. Plug into your power bank, auxiliary, or start battery via the built-in pouch with USB and cig plug options.

Despite its size, setup and pack down take under 60 seconds. With a weight of just 32kg (brackets included), a compact 2.4m stow, and universal mounting options, this awning is all about coverage, convenience, and confidence.
